We are seeking an energetic and charismatic Home Care Agency Scheduler/Caregiver to assist in leading and inspiring a dedicated team of caregivers in providing exceptional, compassionate care to seniors in the North Raleigh area. This is a dynamic role that blends both scheduling and hands-on caregiving responsibilities, offering a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
The ideal candidate will possess prior scheduling experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. You will play a key role in assisting in managing day-to-day operations, supporting and developing a caring, motivated team, and ensuring quality care is consistently provided. Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively utilize home care software and systems are essential. Additionally, you will assist to grow and market the program to reach more seniors in need of care.

Responsibilities

Ensures community is adequately staffed in order to meet resident’s care and service needs and in accordance with the company standards and guidelines.

 

  1. Supervises direct care staff as delegated by manager/supervisor.
  2. Ensures associate schedules are communicated/distributed to all associates a minimum of one week in advance (or longer as required by your individual agency).
  3. Effectively manages and communicates all changes in resident/client needs to associates as updates are made to the contract and plan of care.
  4. Manages on-call/after-hours business needs as assigned.
  5. Effectively communicates all staffing shortages and additional staffing needs to supervisor.
  6. Effectively operates and maintains corporate scheduling and billing computer system according to company guidelines and best practices.
  7. Completes daily billing in a timely manner, ensuring state and SOX compliance regulations are followed in regards to billing practices
  8. Responsible for completing review and reconciliation of billing on a weekly basis.
  9. Ensures billing information is complete and correct prior to finalizing monthly resident billing.
  10. Maintains positive relationships and rapport with co-workers, residents, family members and community personnel.
  11. Effectively maintains client chart/documentation and filing practices as per company guidelines and best practices.
  12. Completes other duties as assigned.
  13. Covers BAH cases in the event that care associates cannot be secured to provide services to client(s).
  14. Manages on-call/after office hours and weekend’s business needs as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Prefer one year experience working with older adults or in a related healthcare setting.

Uses limited independent judgment to make decisions based on precedents and established guidelines. Solves problems using standard procedures and precedents. Knows when to refer issues to supervisor and when to handle them personally.

 

Knowledge and Skills
Has a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that requires basic analytic ability. Has an overall understanding of the work environment and process. Has working knowledge of the organization.  Must have knowledge and working capability of PCs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
