Under close supervision, drives a large capacity passenger bus to transport residents to activities, errands, and destinations. Properly operates bus and ensures the safety of all passengers.

- Requests assistance of marketing assistant when appropriate to coordinate needs relating to logistics of new resident moves including such things as transference of keys, furniture move-in coordination, unit preparation, new resident orientation and welcoming, etc. Maintains continued contact to reflect concern and interest for their continued wellbeing and satisfaction after relocation to the community.
- May provide input regarding the development of promotional brochures, videos and mailings as used in networking referrals and marketing to prospective residents.
- Prepares written reports and communicates status of current success in a clear and concise manner.

Assists in the coordination, direction and delivery of wellness and recreation programs to meet specific needs of each and all the residents. Ensures residents’ lives are maintained to the extent possible by providing programs and events that encourage engagement and social interaction. The Resident Programs Assistant utilizes Brookdale mission and cornerstones, as well as the Optimum Life vision, for the foundation of their responsibilities.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the Resident Programs standards of excellence.
- Provides hands-on involvement in programs for the majority of their scheduled time.
- Assists in the supervision, orientation, and planning of volunteers.
- Assists in the coordination of calendar events.
- Assists in the evaluation of the resident's wellness needs – exploring opportunities for resident engagement within the six dimension; purposeful, emotions, physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual.
- Assists in projecting monthly expenditures.
- Assists in ensuring specialty programs are scheduled according to the Resident Program Annual Master Calendar.
- Assists with marketing, promoting and communicating materials, helping to ensure professional quality.
- Assists in maintaining community environment (including equipment and supplies) that supports a whole-person wellness culture for resident engagement.
- Assists in ensuring resident welcome and engagement protocols are in place.
- Assists in keeping records and inventory of supplies.
